I made THE BEST pasta in the world. Who says you need meat for food to be good?

I would drop the recipe but my head is full of thoughts I wanna put in this blogpost and posting the recipe would actually get in the way. All you guys need to know is that it has olive oil, tomato, LOTS OF GARLIC, and parmesean cheese. To start, one thing I'm strangely worried about is that one day I'll want to return to eating meat or for some weird reason I'll need to (I doubt that EITHER of these will end up happening but you never know????) and then I'll be sorry cause I went so long without eating it. I know that IF the day comes I'm gonna have a crazy stomachache.

I started this blog with the mention of food because I feel as if my life has been soooo dominated by food its not even funny. And I also believe that black families have this insane culture around eating, sort of like Italians. You walk into an Italian household and you're forced to eat bread with cheese on it, and are given a mug of coffee that is expected to be drained no longer than twenty minutes from the first moment you stepped into the house. Some of my family members are very serious about eating and about food. My maternal grandfather came over and whenever he does so, he always inspects my garden and brings over some recipes he wants us to make together, like oatmeal raisin cookies, molasses cookies, zucchini rolls, hummus, etc etc. It does not end. I did not know that one person (me) could eat so much food. And I also have this lovely bakery that I leisurely get my baklava from, and he loved it so much that he drove twenty minutes to go get nine pieces.

Something else I had this week. My jumbled monologue on why I went vegetarian can be found here.

For breakfast today I had plain Greek yogurt with honey and then my stomach was KILLING ME because I'd forgotten how horrifically uncomfortable eating honey makes me. And then I didn't feel like eating anything for the rest of the day and began wondering why we humans eat in the first place. If you've ever had spicy food, you know there can be lots of trial and error involved.

Anyway anyway anyway lets get food out of the way: I took Jack on a walk and monologued a bit. Look at him, he's just so lovely. I think we left at 10 am but since the days feel so short we won't be leaving that late anymore and will eventually start running again because I want my track body back. On our way back, his silly self jumped in the river, the old seadog.

He is everything. You guys have read about my dog before but it does not compare to meeting him; he is so wonderful.

I then went to the mall (ick) did NOT get a pretzel because I was feeling icky about eating, got a dress and left. The mall trips me out a bit but I do enjoy peoplewatching. I saw a girl at a stall with a high bun and perfect skin and she was so gorgeous and radiant and she had a "DO COOL SHIT" shirt on.

Before I end this I think I need to clarify..for no reason in particular..that I am developing a crush on one of my friends which is so embarassing. And like..its so bad I don't even want to talk about it so I think this is all. I don't even know if I'll eat dinner tbh gng. That's all I guess, confess your love for me in my guestbook!

Nu out!
